20th April, the Tianjin MGL – Nankai University Forum of Industry-Academy Innovation for Battery Materials and the opening ceremony of MGL-Nankai Joint Base for Human Resources Development was held in Baodi, Tianjin.

20 cathode material experts, who are from Nankai University, Tianjin University, Tianjin University of Technology, Hebei University of Technology, CETC No.18 Research Institute, China Industrial Association of Power Sources, China Automotive Technology & Research Center, Tianjin Lishen ltd., and Tianjin Ejeve ltd., attended in this forum. Guests from Tianjin Science and Technology Commission, Baodi Science and Technology Bureau, Baodi Association for Science and Technology, and Baodi Industry & Information Technology Commission also participated in the forum.

Professor Guoran Li, Associate Dean, School of Materials Science and Engineering, Nankai University, Mr. Chunlei Wang, the person in charge of the human resources joint base, and Ms. Yingchun Su, general manager of Tianjin Mengguli, unveiled the joint base. This event is the fundamental for the strategic talents cooperation between Tianjin Mengguli and Nankai University, to cultivate college students with experimental ability, and to improve their professionalism and employability.

In this forum, experts conducted in-depth discussions on the frontier topics of power batteries and new materials. Professional reports covering the themes of high-voltage cathode material, high-nickel cathode materials, and all-solid batteries were shared.
